ok so is there any program that i can view the garment in, i have quite a lot of custom garments and can use gimp to edit them but cant view them, i also have a lot of the effects that can i can edit the c3 file to attach it to the garment been given this as a walkthrough for it

3DTexture.ini:

reference the .dds files with a custom id that you make up

do the same in 3DEffectObj.ini but for the .c3 files

3Deffect.ini:

[YOUR_EFFECT_NAME]

Amount=2 <<< total amount of combinations, up the key values by 1 starting from 0

EffectId0=9671 <<< add the id you made up in 3DEffectObj.ini

TextureId0=9671 <<< add the effect id you made up in 3d texture

ASB0=5 << don't touch this value

ADB0=2 << don't touch this value

EffectId1=9672

TextureId1=9672

ASB1=5

ADB1=2

EffectId2=9673

TextureId2=9673

ASB2=5

ADB2=2

Delay=0 <<< default

LoopTime=99999999 <<< default

FrameInterval=33 <<< default

LoopInterval=0 <<< default

OffsetX=0 <<< default

OffsetY=0 <<< default

OffsetZ=0 <<< default

ColorEnable=1 <<< default

Lev=1 <<< default

Action3DEffect.ini:

[999.111. << append item id but replace the last digit with a 0] = [name of effect in 3deffect.ini]

Well, you're modifying the DDS texture file the way I used to a decade ago. Unfortunately, I don't know of a better way. I don't think there's been any public tooling for C3 editing. You could try the Blender plugin for C3

Tachyon is working on:

You can also try contributing to his open source project if you find a problem.

I can't say I remember all of the steps for adding garments. :dead:
