Drop Rates?

I was wondering were or how the drop rates for items are and/or if any sources our there have true drop rate formulas?

Am using the task and actions system from TQ sql database, but heard the actual server never actually used these for it's actual drop rate calculations for items and silver.

I know CptSky got a lot of server algorithms by reverse engineering the TQ binaries, but I'm not sure about silver and item drop rates. Maybe you could look at the Soul leak (Eudemons Alpha) for some pretty close formulas?

The soul source code is a decent base for money / item drops (excluding things that are specific to CO like mets, DBs, blessed items and such). There are minor differences, but it would be near enough for regular drops without reverse engineering the TQ bins.

For the tasks / actions, these are used for "special" drops (like Pheasants dropping PK tickets and such). There is a death action that is triggered when a monster is killed by a player-owned entity (like a player or a pet).

Yeah, so far using TQ Actions/Tasks for everything, but it doesn't dictate the rate of chance for drops for the things like gold and dragonballs ,etc. 

 

Was wondering if any public engines are using RE TQ code for their rates.

Cool. I think i saw some rates out of canyon before. with dbs being about 1 in 86,000 chance. sounds about right.

 

Are there any materials or guides regarding how to RE the TQ binaries? presuming the only real way to get them

Hi everyone,
I just came back to Conquer Online and started a new character, but I'm not getting any drops at all. I've killed hundreds of monsters and haven't received any silver or items.
Is this normal on this server, or am I missing something? Does anyone know why this is happening?

if you're talking about retail CO which it sounds like you are. I would heavily advise against it. They removed drops and gold from mobs like forever ago as their way to combat bots lol (Geniuses at tq saved their game by destroying it themselves). The game is now just a glorified casino and im not even joking, youd have a better time with your money signing up for some crypto gambling website than playing retail conquer how its designed to be "played" today

This is a game preservation board for the older patches - not actively talking about retail Conquer Online.
