Zedaf Posted August 29, 2024 Posted August 29, 2024 (edited) Type: Requesting Name: Zedaf Contact Info: PM Timezone / Location: GMT My requirement: I can code the server stuff myself but I'm not familiar enough with assembly/Olly to be able to do the client side of things efficiently. Having said that, I'd like a client which has been downgraded to a classic level but comes from a patch which is high enough so as to have certain features that I'm interested in, namely: Unlocked FPS VSync Fullscreen More which we can discuss if there's anyone serious (no website popup, no server.dat check, autopatch, and certainly more in future) My responsibilities: I'll work on the server programming Your responsibilities: You'll work on the client programming Pay: This is my first time purchasing something like this so hopefully we can have a discussion around price, how we both feel safe about the trade etc. Edited August 29, 2024 by Zedaf Quote
Berniemack Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Type: Offering Name: Berniemack Contact Info: PM can provide further contact from there. Timezone / Location: Eastern Standard Tme My work: I'm a senior .Net dev most of my work has been in insurance and banking My responsibilities: Whatever you need if its interesting to work on Your responsibilities: Be the Idea guy, provide architectural guidance. Pay: Volunteering my free time (Make sure you read that carefully, and remember my free time changes) Extra info: (BACKGROUND) I've recently gone down a rabbit hole over this old game I used to play back in my youth and have become fascinated not only with the community around this game and server emulation for it, but its history and everything, its been very cool reading all the forum posts and conversations, It's sucked up many of my nights these last couple of months haha. That said before this little adventure I've never done multiplayer game programming (did a few little mobile games back in college but that's it) mostly because I suck at art/modeling etc. Recently I've been working on revamping a 5518 client/server to be a game that can actually be enjoyed by a small handful of people (mainly intended to by played by me and my wife). This all said I'd prefer to help someone out that somewhat knows what they are doing/need done. But again of course depending on what you need, if I find it interesting enough, or if its within the scope of my knowledge/you are ok with my solution possibly not being the most idiomatic approach, then I'm up for a challenge.
