Classic Experience

Conquer Odyssey is Classic+ experience, implemented on the patch 5071 of Conquer Online (and almost feature complete compared to the patch 5021). With that said, many « non-classic » features are disabled:

- Classic classes only (no ninja, pirates, …)
- Maximum level is capped at 130
- Rebirth is capped at 1st rebirth
- Blessed items are only available as rare drops from monsters (no blessed rebirth)
- Tortoise gems are not available
- Battle Power is disabled in PvP
- No CPs bullshit like Lottery, UnknownMan, Though Drills and such

Classic+ Experience

New Events

- City Wars: Fight to control the main cities.
- Bi-hourly Events: Participe to short events of various type (casual, skill-based, equipment-based) to win experience and points.

- Free drop notifications (no VIP required)
- Free right click packing of meteors and DBs (no VIP required)
- New items like MeteorBox & DBBox
- Lower requirement for Scatter at level 15
- Weapon skill experience when using magic skills (like Scatter, Rage and such)
- Point based composition, but patched to use original math

Rebalanced PvP

- Warriors are tanks: Shields give HP
- Taoists are indirectly buffed: Earrings restricted to them (each class have hair covering and non-covering head gear with plumes and headbands). Archer coats m-def reduced (no longer as good as Taoist robes).
- Archers have a « PvP » alternative: Daggers are reserved to them, with a new line skill.
- Enforced equipment requirements: bypassing equipment requirements (classes, strength, etc) is no longer an option in Market.
- Accessories (rings, boots and such) are limited to max 120 for now

About COPS X Emulator

COPS X Emulator is the underlying emulator, customized for Conquer Odyssey. Fully written from scratch since 2022, it aims at being a faithful/reference implementation of Conquer Online between patches 5016 to 5071 (may be extended).

- All algorithms and features are based on the retail ones. They are manually reversed from leaked binaries matching the patch range.
- All scripts and events are based on retail ones. They are converted from leaked database (`cq_action`) to Lua code using a custom transpiler.
- All datasets are based on retail ones. They are taken from leaked databases.
