Game version 6559 or similar pre - 3.0 private server.

Hello everyone,

I am fairly new here, having found this awesome website today. I am a 33 year old retired Conquer Online player, having previously played from 2006 up to 2016. I think I spent well around 20.000 hours in this game, having built myself in the earlier days in Dark server from ground up. Without spending a single dollar up to contesting Kings in their thrones.

 

I have played in some Private servers myself, but never actually tried to make one myself. Now I would like to.

 

I am very interested in making a private server with a game version right before the 3.0 release. I still want the cool new features to play with them etc. But I do dig the old map, I do not like the 3.0 rework.

 

I tried searching the forums but did not quite get an answer if we have a semi-working project somehwere here, that I could download and try to get working? I am not a coder by any means, but I do understand core basics having made numerous private servers for some other games in the past.

You may need to visit @Spirited thread where he has a list of different sources including the version. I may recommend using the COPV6 (but I think there is something like COPSV7 with uses c#).

6559 is well past 3.0 though isn't it? like 5987ish is 3.0

Conquer 3.0 starts at 6610.

6559 for Mac uses the same executable from 6609, I guess it's the latest server update before 3.0

Ah alright. I pretty much stopped after or at around 5000 seriously, I fucked around a little up until 5500~ Idk anything about Pirates, little about monks. Messed around a little with the Jiang Hu and Chi systems but they were too far gone with their p2w by that point imo. Once everything started turning into bound items too, I didn't like that at the time.

I played a bit again recently to have a look around. The new war suit system or whatever it is that basically replaces your equipped weapon style confused me. Use to be a warrior with a 2h wand and shield, but now it's spear or shield and blade and there's no way to turn it off.

 I was just going off this post  that lays out 3.0 around 6000. But there's multiple "3.0" expansions. 

 

There are a collection of open source projects, but you might be hard done by to find one around 6500~ complete and in working order. They'll all require some work.
