Crab Conquer - Classic and Fresh Server

What is Crab Conquer?
Crab Conquer is a private server for Conquer Online targeting version 5017, best version in my highly opinion. Our server is hosted in USE in hopes of providing low latency for all the main regions. Namely, North America, Europe and South East Asia.

Why should you play Crab Conquer?
We are trying to emulate best days of the Conquer Online. Crab Conquer is also a fresh server, launched on 7th of July, meaning all the top spots are empty and waiting to be claimed.

We don't have
- Battle Power
- Pay 2 Win donations
- Lottery

We have:
- Max level 130
- Max compose +9 (with old compose system)
- Max bless is -5
- All the quest we grew to love from original Conquer
- Custom quests
- Custom Events
- Custom World Bosses
- Pretty good anticheat solution

First of all, thanks for the interest.

To be completely honest, I was searching for a unique name for some time. Almost anything that came to my mind was associated with a server before. I was a little tipsy and youtube decided to suggest me this masterpiece:

And as I approached more into the drunkness, I thought "well, we are going full meme then". I regretted my decision when I sobered up but then after giving it more thought, I thought it's a good name solely based on "what?" factor.

I know it seems bad right now but Refined Gem Garments are the only thing that's currently accessible via a quest.

I'm currently working on implementing another quest line for obtaining Gourds and Super Gem Garments. I announced release date 2 days earlier, thought I'd be able to add that quest line before the release but some important IRL stuff came up. I wanted to delay the release but some people were actually waiting for the release so I didn't want to keep them waiting. Not very concerned about it as I'm not really expecting a donation right out of the gate that can give an edge to someone considering highest level right now is 92 and everyone is walking around with free, unique gears.

That's a good call out. I totally agree there. Microtransactions in a free-to-play game are sorta inevitable, but there're definitely better ways to approach it. If you can describe a purchase as a way to save time for those who work and can't farm materials easily (assuming those materials are realistically attainable), then that's probably a good transaction to put up. What you probably want to avoid is exclusive equipment purchases that have better stats than what you can realistically obtain in the game, or items that overpower players. There's definitely a balance to be struck between the paid players (your customers) and free players (your potential customers and game content).

That seems reasonable enough to me. I've seen a few servers recently where Gourds were only available via the shop which seems crazy when you crunch the numbers on how much extra HP that gets you (3008 on a Trojan, assuming you had 400 mana for stig).

Do you have a list of what benefits VIP provides currently? The only one I saw mentioned on the website was mining, which I'm guessing is the usual arrangement to stop your inventory from filling up with junk ores.

Completely agree. As I already pointed out, having exclusive in-game items isn't the aim here by any means. At one point, I considered making ref gem garment via a quest and making super gem garment exclusive to donators, since difference of a single gem is like nothing. But moved on from that idea quickly for multiple reasons (Can get into more detail but I think most important reasons are quite obvious).

I recently got into Heartstone again and really enjoyed their new approach. They have something like a Battle Pass. It keeps giving gold, packs and cards when you level it up and it's completely free. But if you pay, you get 25% more exp so you progress a little faster. Game gives you a complete meta deck if you were away for some time to get you going. And yeah, there's nothing behind the pay wall except for cosmetic items. As a result of really being impressed by their model, rather than focusing on selling items that has in-game effect, I decided to go to way of selling QoL improvements, selling time in a non-aggressive way and cosmetics that expire. I also want to release a cosmetic system, similar to how Valve is doing it (long story short: I want to make a system where people can put garments they made on our shop and get some % from every sale of said garment).

It's all ideas at this point. I hope I will be able to turn them into a reality.

As a side note, I think it would be great if you added abilty to quote multiple posts.

Yeah,

Auto Loot - VIP characters automatically loot 1/4 of the gold dropped by mobs, every rare item and equipments selectively (Plus, bless, Elite, Super can be toggled on/off).
Transportation - VIP characters have access to free-of-charge teleportation to predetermined locations (mainly cities).
Clear Trash Items - VIP characters can quickly clean their inventories of worthless items.
Drop Rates - VIP characters can see percent chances of item drops.
VIP Icon - VIP characters have a toggleable VIP sign over their names, displaying how cool they are to everyone.
Remote Repair - VIP characters have access to remote repair, giving them ability to repair their items anywhere in the game, without having access to a shop.
VIP Mining - VIP characters will not loot Ores and can directly teleport to mines.
Packing Rares - When you have 10 Meteors or 10 Dragonballs in your inventory, you can right click one of them to automatically pack them.
Gem Banks - You can store unlimited amout of Normal & Refined gems in GemsBank. (Inspired by Primal Conquer, credit where it's due)
Bless Skill - VIP characters will have access to Bless skill for the duration of their VIP. Bless is a channeling skill that will give it's user and players around them the modifier "LuckyTime".
