This autopatcher/launcher can target some higher clients and injects the flash fix by default. Written by the author of World Conquer iirc.

Yeah I have tried this however you still need a loader right? tried the Conquerloader v5 but it seems like it doesn't work due to flash. Could be me missing something tho Haven't touched this in awhile. It also looks like it ain't working with 5517. If someone could explain me what I'm doing wrong I would highly appreciate that!

Windows just snuck update KB4577586 onto my machine yesterday which completely broke the flash fix I was using (Felipe's). Kept getting the error "Please install Flash 6.0 or above" whenever I launched the client, even if I rolled the clock back.

The solution that worked for me, on Windows 10, was using this patcher: https://github.com/leecher1337/flashpatch
Downloaded flashpatcher_x64.exe and reinst_flash_w10.cmd, and then ran the cmd file as admin from command prompt with /force. It did some magical wizard shit, and now I can launch CO again.

Hopefully this comes in handy to somebody that ends up in the same situation I did.

Oof, yeah. I read about that update way back in January. Installing flash at this point could be dangerous. I'm really not sure what I'll do if I get back into Conquer Online development. Asking players to install outdated / possibly exploitable software on their computer doesn't sound like a reasonable solution... though it is a solution.

It's not ideal, but unless Santa/Relic decide they want to make their login stuff public/release a tutorial (and I certainly wouldn't blame them if they didn't), I think I'm at Flash's mercy for the time being.

Unfortunately I don't know the first thing about binary modification/hooking/etc. I'll have to look into it one day though, since my "client mod wish list" gets longer and longer every day.

Yeah, fore sure. I don't have a huge amount of experience with it either, and I definitely don't blame them for not sharing. I'm an advocate of free and open source information, so hopefully they'll come around to sharing details on how they did it. But until then, it's a good showcase of what's possible by the community. Older patches and newer patches of Conquer Online don't require flash, so we're not blocked at least. In the worst case, I just bump the version for my project super high.
